FAQs

  • No, New Zealand does not offer visas on arrival to Indians. You need to have an approved visa prior to your departure.

  • If you plan to transit through New Zealand, you will typically require a Transit Visa, except in cases when you are:

    • Travelling to Australia
    • Coming from a visa waiver country
    • Originating from a transit visa waiver country

    This visa allows you to stay for up to 24 hours and pass through Auckland International Airport as a transit passenger, but you must remain within the airport's transit area during your layover.

    Please note: You can only transit New Zealand through Auckland International Airport.

  • While you can explore employment opportunities or attend job interviews in New Zealand on a visitor's visa, your main purpose for being in the country should be for tourism or visiting purposes.

    It's important to note that working on a visitor visa is not allowed. If you intend to work, you must apply for and obtain a valid work visa before beginning any employment.

  • The validity of your New Zealand tourist visa is 18 months.

  • It takes 20 working days to process a New Zealand tourist visa after you've submitted your application and provided all the required documents.

    1. Click on the 'Start New Zealand visa application' button.
    2. Choose the appropriate 'Type of visa.'
    3. Provide your basic personal information.
    4. Proceed to make the payment, which can be either a full or partial payment.
    5. Complete the 'Visit details' section, upload all required documents, and submit your application.
    6. TMS will review your documents and file the application with the embassy.
    7. Once the embassy makes the decision, we will update the status on the platform.
    8. You can then download the visa from the TMS dashboard.

  • Once you've submitted all your documents, you can conveniently track your visa application status on the dashboard. Rest assured, TMS will promptly reach out to you regarding the progress of your application via WhatsApp and Email.

  • Tourist visas for New Zealand allow you to stay for a period of 9 months. However, please check the exact dates and duration once you get your visa.
